Businesses Do Fail
According to the Small Business Administration, only about 20% of small businesses that start up each year will be in business two years later.  It's not because the business owner isn't talented or doesn't know what he or she is doing.  It's largely due to non-exposure.  One of the fastest ways to let the world know you are in business is through a website.  It's like you're sending a brochure to everyone in the world!

While there is nothing wrong with written brochures or mail outs or any of the other wonderful things we can do to promote our businesses, the Quick Start website is all about saving you time and money, and getting you exposure now.  You can include your URL (website address) on your business card, hand your card to your potential client or customer and say, "Here's my business card with my website address.  Please visit it for more details about my company."  That's it.  You don't need printed brochures or flyers or post cards or anything else right away - just a website and business cards.  The rest of the printed material can come later, and it can be written using the content from your website!

Don't Let An Illiterate Person Write for You
If the person writing for you doesn't have a dictionary on his or her desk, and if there isn't a thesaurus within arm's reach of that person, RUN! 

It makes us cringe when we are surfing the Internet and we see typographical errors or misused words on websites.  Anyone who publishes a site using "your" when it should be "you're" or "coarse" instead of "course" or "it's" instead of "its", and so on, should immediately be sent to English 101.  Too many people who call themselves writers depend on spell check to do their work for them.  We have news for you...Spell Check isn't infallible.  Very often, a sentence is grammatically correct, but Spell Check will tell you it isn't.  If you massacre the spelling of a word to begin with, you may end up with a very embarrassing situation.  There is no excuse for poorly written content.  When all is said and done, your clients and customers are going to be interested in one thing - the written content of your site.  Flash and all the other bells and whistles are great for the future, but they are not necessary for start-up small businesses.  You need a well-written, easy-to-navigate site, period.  Even large corporations with megabucks to spend on websites need well-written content and easy-to-navigate sites!

Content, Graphics, and Logos 
What if you don't have written content for a website or graphics or a logo?  Relax.  Very often new content written by us and standard graphics will be included in the base price of the Quick Start website, depending on the complexity of the project.
 

With a Quick Start website, you can have a professional presence on the Internet while you are taking your time developing your logo.  We can develop one for you through our Corporate Kit.  It can be added to your site when it's completed.  

There are also plenty of existing graphics available to get you started.  We can find them for you or tell you where to go to find them.

What about the future?
